More on the 'dark actors'
I ended a little rant about Ms Neo-con the other day by saying:
As an aside, the very compromised Ms Miller was the journalist who received the email Dr David Kelly wrote, warning of 'many dark actors playing games'. How painfully ironic.If this disturbs you as much as it disturbs me, this Robert George post on the quite glorious Huffington Post might interest you. I've never quite understood whether Dr Kelly was a hawk or a dove (certainly no chickenhawk). We tend to see him here as someone who was depressed about the lies surrounding the war buildup, who talked to a journalist and then had his career destroyed by the Blair machine, who, we tend to forget now, deliberately outed him as Gilligan's source. Gilligan, we construe, is skeptical about the evidence being used to justify a coming war. On the other hand, he's Judy Miller's source (though from what I can tell this dates back to the aluminium tubes, the chemical weapons, et cetera, which was his turf). Personal skepticism is not Miller's problem with the evidence. Public skepticism is - she's helping to fabricate it. However, when Kelly commits suicide, Miller doesn't seem to be bothered enough to report about it - indeed, she holds back the fact that she got the 'dark actors' email.
